We like to believe that Wait and See, other than being a Concept Store, is also a means to encourage humour and joyfulness. Playing is a habit that is all too often associated with youth, and even though we enjoy playing as adults, it is not something that we easily admit to.⁣⁣For the SS22 season, we have chosen the theme ‘Remember to Play’ involving Giangi Giordano, Curator, Creative Director and Teacher of Fashion Sociology.⁣ Here is the interview:

"My interpretation of ‘Remember to Play’ begins with an idea that can be defined as ‘Playing with Genders’, I do not intend crossdressing, but an idea of a spontaneous game that has always led me to wear any garment or accessory, regardless of its gender. I think that it is beneficial to be absolutely light and humorous in this, we live in a period in which we continuously talk about fluidity of gender, we do so often, and badly, with an outdated image; it seems that this idea is always bound up in what we wear.

I believe that we cannot allow objects to define us, but rather it should be us to give them a significance. This is something that I do daily, and there is nothing more amusing that to mock this rhetoric of the division of genders and the stereotypes associated with bourgeois culture. Above all, it is often the look of the Sciura Milanese that I reference with a mix of agony and delight in the styling of many of my looks.

It often occurs that people are both amused and fascinated, but yet destabilized by my outfits, likely because there is no showmanship or cabaret, I am not a drag queen, I am not a public figure, this is my way of being. Occasionally this creates a short-circuit, I am a young man who interprets a Sciura on acid."
